Throughout the history of Scottrade, our business strategy has allowed us to keep all branch offices open and we’ve never experienced lay-offs due to fluctuating market conditions. Instead, we continue to increase our branch network by 15 to 20 percent annually – making us the largest branch office network among online brokerage firms. Our associate base grows by an average of 25 percent each year. As the company continues to succeed, so do our associates.

Scottrade University is an online educational resource that is available for all associates. The curriculum is designed to allow employees to take relevant courses and grow in their profession. Here are some examples of various courses we offer; customer service, the securities industry, management and leadership, business skills, job training and continuing education. Scottrade University offers over 350 online courses that are self-paced and accessible 24/7 from home or work.
Our internship program has established relationships with over 500 colleges and universities across the nation. In 2007, 41 percent of our graduating interns accepted full-time positions with the firm. More than 20 percent of our branch managers began their Scottrade career through our internship program.
